Mulan is a young black Huacaya female born in June 2023, combining two exceptional bloodlines. Her sire, Inca Grand Design, is one of the most respected black alpaca stud males in the UK — consistently producing dense-fleeced, well-conformed black offspring. Her dam, Hensting Sweet Rhona, carries mid silver grey and white genetics, and has produced a grey female cria this year — grey offspring being among the most sought-after in UK breeding circles.

Mulan herself presents as true black with excellent fleece coverage and a well-balanced frame for her age. Her genetic background means she has genuine potential to produce both black and grey offspring, depending on the stud male she is mated with. This colour diversity potential, combined with her elite sire line, makes her a genuinely interesting prospect for any serious breeding programme.
