Hensting Alpacas has been breeding and walking alpacas for over 16 years. We are British Alpaca Society registered, fully insured, and based at Itchen Valley Country Park — one of the UK's finest Green Flag-awarded country parks. Every walk is led by an experienced handler who genuinely loves what they do.

Yes! All our alpaca walks require advance booking. Spaces are limited and this experience is very popular, especially during weekends and school holidays.
We recommend sturdy, closed-toe footwear (wellies in wet weather), weather-appropriate clothing, and layers. We walk in most weather conditions, so dress for the outdoors!
Yes! All children are welcome. Children under 8 must have one dedicated adult, and children 12+ may lead an alpaca independently. Everyone needs a valid ticket.
We're located at Itchen Valley Country Park in Hampshire, just 15 minutes from Southampton, Winchester, and Eastleigh. Easy access from Portsmouth, Romsey, and surrounding areas.
We walk in light rain! Only severe weather will cancel walks. If we cancel, you can rebook within 3 months. We recommend adding our £4.50 rescheduling insurance for flexibility.
